Who we are

Woodlands Festival was conceived by Husband & Wife team, Chris & Rachel.  We wanted to create something special, that all our friends, families & the like-minded could come to… those with kids & those without; but most importantly, we wanted to give something back.

Our families have been touched by Dementia & Cancer, as have many of our friend’s families.  So, as part of the festival we will be raising awareness & funds for Dementia UK & Cancer Research UK.  We hope that these charities can benefit from our little festival, helping them to continue doing the incredibly challenging & valuable work they do.

Life makes huge demands on our time these days but we still like to get together, hang out, listen to good music & enjoy fantastic food & drinks, all in a beautiful setting & for a great cause…

And from this, Woodlands Festival was born.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE CHARITIES...

Cancer Research UK pioneers life-saving research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Through their research, they’ve helped double UK survival rates over the last 40 years. But they can’t stop there. With an ageing population, more than one in three of us will develop cancer at some point in our lives.

With our continued support, their research can deliver breakthroughs that save millions of lives & accelerate the progress against this devastating disease.

Dementia UK offers specialist one-to-one support & expert advice for people living with dementia through our world-class Admiral Nurses. They work hand in hand with families, helping them cope with the fear, uncertainty & difficult everyday reality of dementia.

In providing the compassionate, expert support families need every step of the way, Dementia UK help them to live more positively with dementia in the present; & to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence & less fear.
